A Tradition of Youth Sportfishing in the Florida Keys
The Keys Kids Sailfish Tournament, hosted by Tackle Center of Islamorada, is a beloved annual event that gives young anglers the chance to experience the thrill of offshore sailfishing. Held in the heart of the Florida Keys, this one-day tournament promotes sportsmanship, conservation, and family fun on the water. Open to anglers under 16 years of age, the event is designed to get the next generation hooked on the excitement of deep sea fishing.

Rules & Registration
The tournament takes place every winter during peak sailfish season, with no entry fee thanks to the generous support of local sponsors and the Islamorada fishing community. All boats and teams must pre-register. The format is simple and exciting — most sailfish releases win, with awards given to top anglers and teams.

Open to kids under 16
All fish must be released (IGFA rules apply)

The 1st Annual Keys Kids Sailfish Tournament took place on January 13th, 2024 in the waters of Islamorada, FL. Totaling 17 Anglers, all 16 years old and younger. The one day tournament included anglers from 0-10 in the Small Fry Division and 11-16 in the Junior Division. The tournament was FREE to all anglers.
